The team is actively involved in the design and successful implementation of
civil engineering infrastructure projects. These projects include the provision of civil engineering services
from a rudimentary service level for rural communities to the full integrated service levels for urban
communities. Internal civil
infrastructure to urban communities includes the provision of streets and storm water drainage facilities,
water distribution pipe networks and waterborne sanitation reticulation.
External civil infrastructure or bulk supply projects include the provision of water from source (river, dam or boreholes)
to water purification plants via pump or gravity feed main pipelines to storage reservoirs or pressure towers from where water
feeds to the internal water reticulation via trunk main pipelines. Sewerage effluent from the internal sewerage reticulation
networks drain via main outfall sewerage pipelines to the sewage waste water treatment plant from where
the treated effluent is again returned back to the original water supply source.
